Interest rates hit an all-time record setting historic low twice in the past two months.
The weather and interest rates are driving Lehigh Valley Home Buyers to look at purchasing a home earlier in the season than usual. The phones are ringing and home sellers are getting requests for showings.
In January of 2011, there were 4,025 Homes For Sale in the Lehigh Valley. In the same month (January 2011), 302 homes went under agreement.
In January of 2012, there were 4,391 homes for sale in the valley (an increase of 9.1% from January of 2011).
Although the number of homes for sale?in the?Lehigh Valley?last month was up from the previous year, the startling fact is how many homes went under agreement.
Last month, 495 Lehigh Valley Homes went Under Agreement. That is an increase of; GET THIS, 63.9% from the number of homes that went under agreement in January of 2011.
A large storm and/or cold weather may put the brakes on the real estate market but for now Lehigh Valley Home Buyers are looking and buying!
Out of the 4,391 homes for sale in January, 813 of them were bank owned or foreclosures.
